HeidiKids is a family owned company based in Vancouver, BC, providing high quality wooden toys for babies and toddlers. All products are made in Germany and strictly follow the guiding principles of Safety, Sustainability, Highest Quality, Educational and Fun. All our toys are carefully selected and approved by a team of experienced parents, early childhood educators and pediatricians.
HeidiKids was established in 2010 by German parents who were looking for traditionally crafted wooden toys as they had known from their own childhood. As it seemed difficult to find such a selection of toys in Vancouver at the time, the idea was born to import them from their former home country. “It was important to feel good and connect with the toys, in particular in regards to safety and ethics”. Wooden toys are safe, durable and an ideal source for childrens early development. All wood is taken from sustainable forests and does not harm the environment.
HeidiKids recognizes the immense potential for learning while playing: “We are not about another plastic toy, we are traditional and innovative and only the best will do – our toys are created by traditional toy makers that take the utmost care to respect national and international safety standards. Our colors are water-based, lead free and non-toxic and our wood is taken from sustainable forests.”
HeidiKids offers their own brand, HeidiKids, and is also the exclusive distributor for the very popular German brands NIC and Walter. HeidiKids is a wholesaler and its products are only available through selected retailers.
